Dunmore — a small-scale print that has been away from this address for several years and returned all at once, in four colors, like a family that scattered and came back for the same occasion. The occasion is now. None of these colorways will be made again. The screens exist. The will to reprint does not.

3½ inch repeat on 52½ inch Belgian linen-cotton, handprinted in America. Small enough to read as texture from across a room, specific enough to stop anyone who gets close. The motif is a cluster of leaves and berries that has been rendered in every color a hand printer's kitchen could produce — and here are five of them.

This is Tobacco — 2 yards. The color of aged things that got better rather than worse.
